The Cisco 7912G is a member of the Cisco Unified IP phone family providing superior business-inspired features designed to address the communication needs of cubicle workers who engage in low to medium phone traffic. The CP-7912G offers four dynamic soft keys that provide user-friendly support in scrolling through features and functions. XML applications deliver applications and network data to the phone's display. This phone supports and integrated Ethernet switch allowing it to provide LAN connectivity to a collocated PC while also supporting inline power.

Features of the Cisco CP-7912G include calling name and number display, call waiting, support of a single line or directory number, a pixel-based display, visual indicator hold key, ring type selection options, and the handset is hearing-aid compatible meeting ADA requirements. In addition to three-way calling, the Cisco 7912G offers four speed dials, call transfer, redial, and call monitor. This phone utilizes inline power but may also use power supplied locally using an optional AC to 48-VDC power adapter (CP-PWR-CUBE-3=), which requires a country-specific cord.
