The CP-PWR-CUBE-3 is the transformer that provides AC power to the Cisco 7900 series IP phone. The CP-PWR-CUBE-3 is exactly the same as the CP-PWR-CUBE except that it is also compatible with all Cisco IP phones including the color screen IP phones (CP-797x) as well as CP-7961G and CP-7941G models. The CP-PWR-CUBE-3 was designed to replace the CP-PWR-CUBE-2. The CP-PWR-CUBE3 provides cleaner power to the phone and uses a longer plug to insert into the back of the phone. It is distinguishable from the first generation power cubes because the tip of the power insert is black instead of the traditional yellow.
