The PWR-RPS2300 is a redundant power system manufactured b y Cisco Systems designed to increase availability for converged voice, data, and video networks. The PWR-RPS2300 system delivers power supply redundancy and resiliency for a variety of power requirements, including Power over Ethernet (PoE). Providing seamless failover in switches and Integrated Services Routers, the Cisco RPS 2300 ensures uninterrupted operation and protection against device power supply failures. The PWR-RPS2300 offers two major features: greater modularity (with a replaceable fan module, more devices supported, six RPS connectors, more switches and routers supported, and the RPS 2300 uses the same 1150W and 750W power supplies as the Catalyst 3750-E and 3560-E Series switches) as well as greater ease of use (remote management through Catalyst 3750-E and 3560-E Series switches, automatic back-off, and a separate AC source from the switch).
